The King Street Patio is a vibrant, accessible outdoor event space on the north side of the property, able to accommodate up to 500 guests for organized events.
Renovated in 2022-23, the small parkette received technological upgrades like electrical connections, colour-changing LED lighting, and WiFi connectivity, which make it ideal for a wide range of events from concerts to cocktail receptions.
The revitalized space provides an attractive, accessible, and safe location for social gathering by both residents and visitors, showcasing graffiti artworks of nationally recognized artists, complete with barrier free paths constructed with environmentally friendly permeable paving, drought-resistant native plants and shade trees, and a large accessible patio.
The King Street Parkette Revitalization project was funded in part by the Government of Canada through FedDev Ontario under the Canada Community Revitalization Fund (CCRF).
